The inside covers of the Japanese graphic novels have text on them. It’s basically the same image for all of the novels, so this isn’t actually a spoiler.
The text turns out to be upside-down nigh-illegible katakana, but the Japanese side of the SnK fanbase has managed to render it into something more readable.
It seems to concern the history of humanity before the walls.
I’m not great at Japanese, but I tried my hand at translation.

Hollywood: “But we can’t make the costumes look like they do in the comic books or cartoons! It’s too unrealistic!”

#because this ost is too damn important#it is played /one single time/ in the anime and that is when haru returns home in episode 8 and finds makoto right there#it is when he listens to the message from rei and nagisa and gou worrying about him#it is right there he realizes that despite how awful he has been feeling during the episode#he is never alone and he never will be (via romakoto)
Noragami OP: 「午夜の待ち合わせ」.
